Gate
Gate works closely with ASS for securing the event boundaries to ticketed participants
Responsibilities of gate:
Queuing and processing of cars coming in the gate road
Accepting tickets / checking the will call list
Managing of wristband, ticket inventory
Making sure everyone has a printed and signed waiver that is legible
Screening cars and participants for non ticketed occupants, forbidden items to some extent
ID check and over / under 21
age appropriate wristband application
In and out access verification and approval
Handing out of maps, guides, etc if applicable
Other gate considerations:
Board members will be at the gate during all during event gate open shifts
Gate shift leads will manage and monitor shift to shift operations
Some coordination with the road gate, greeters, placement teams, parking teams, and parking shuttle may be required
Gate should have radio communication with other departments and the board lead during the event

Review gate shift report with outgoing gate lead and sign off as witness, count change in cash box
Check IDs and apply appropriate armband
Have attendee sign waiver, requires guardian signature for kids under 18
Sell ticket or check will-cal file for pre-paid tickets
Keep stubs in shift envelope, give ticket to attendee
Fill out shift report and shift envelope, review shift report with incoming gate lead, seal gate receipts and ticket stubs in envelope
Take shift envelope to designated drop point
