Find new ways to minimize COOP (cars out of place), to keep cars out of the way, to maximize space for campers and fun and cars, and to generally have parking contribute to a more beautiful, better-run Apogaea
Parking Badger
Guide people to active parking area
Look for COOP (cars out of place) and encourage owners to move cars
Help get cars put away and parking passes back to the greeters
Parking Process/Notes
We want to guide cars to either the upper car area, or the the ONE active parking lot in the lower area. When the lot gets full, we'll open a new lot.
First parking is at lower meadow. Then 3 rows this side of fence. Then Stratosphield.
Theme camps can have ONE car in their camp. The car MUST have a theme camp parking pass displayed.
Car camping is limited to certain areas. Assigned first come-first served. People can register with placement in advance, and get permission upon arrival, if there's room. Car campers should also display a special pass.
For everyone else, upon arrival they get a 30-minute unloading pass. After they unload, they should park their car in an active lot. They should get parking pass to a Badger, or to Info Booth, or back up to Greeters. Cars left longer than 30 minutes will be harassed mericlessly, and could be towed.
See attached files for parking passes. Highly recommend that passes be printed on neon-colored paper, with a different color for each type of pass. Also recommend putting in a plastic sleeve.
