Apogaea is an effort made by the community for the community; everyone involved purchases a ticket in order to support the event and for the privilege of attending. With this in mind, event volunteers are a must to make this 100% volunteer event happen. All volunteers, Ignition to Event, should sign-up for shifts in the Volunteer Database at least two weeks before the event. If that isn't convenient, they can stop by the Information Booth and sign up during the event. Volunteerism is what makes this event possible, and it is also one of the most fun and rewarding ways to participate.
Apogaea has three different levels of volunteers:
Ignition members are members of the organization and voted on by the board, these are normally department leads, XXXOs, and positions that last all year long.
Sparks are selected by their department leads and not voted on by the board nor is their removal subject to the bylaws. Both Ignition and Spark members get a guaranteed, half price, ticket to the event, in their name only at will call.
Board members and officers are members of Ignition also.
