Officers
The officers of the Apogaea are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. They are elected by the Board of Directors. Officers are elected at the annual meeting of the Board of Directors and hold office for one year. See the Board of Directors page for the list of current officers.
The following are key responsibilities of the Apogaea President:
The President shall preside at all meetings of the members of the Corporation, and at all meetings of the Board of Directors.
The President shall have general supervision and direction over all other officers of the Corporation and shall see that their duties are properly performed.
The President shall execute, acknowledge and deliver in the name of the Corporation all deeds, certificates, contracts, or other instruments necessary in carrying on the affairs of the Corporation when he shall be so specifically authorized by vote of the Board of Directors. S/he shall also have the power to attach the seal of the Corporation to any instrument requiring such seal.
The President shall also perform such duties as may be assigned to her/him by the Board of Directors or by amendment to these By-Laws.
The following are key responsibilities of the Apogaea Vice President:
The Vice President shall, in absence of the President, be vested with all his powers and have authority to perform all his duties. S/he shall also act as an ex officio member on all standing and special committees of the Corporation.

Record meeting minutes - to be ratified by Ignition and approved at the following meeting and posted here.
Maintain "year book" of memorabilia of Apogaea - to include marketing, swag, and other fun stuff
Maintain historical documents - both digital and physical copies of legal and administrative records

The following are key responsibilities of the Apogaea Treasurer:
Provide annual budget to the Board for members' approval
Manage Apogaea bank, Paypal, and other financial accounts
Monitor cash flow in accounting software (QuickBooks)
Pay approved budgeted expenses / seek Board approval for non-budgeted expenses
Pay grant awards upon authorization from Apogaea Art Grants Committee and following receipt of Artist's Agreement
Reimburse expenses of other Apogaea Project members promptly
Define expense payment policy
Make charitable donations as authorized by the Board
Manage annual tax preparation in coordination with Apogaea's tax preparer (the Spanish Stallion) and pay State & Federal taxes
Check Apogaea post office box regularly and pay for box rental
File annual report with Secretary of State
Collect ticket receipts from outlet sales & make bank deposits
Define policies for secure handling of gate receipts
Reconcile gate ticket revenues against attendance
Calculate rent payment to landowner
Publish annual P&L summary report to community via Apogaea website
Monitor donations to Apogaea as a percentage of overall revenue (in anticipation of tax exempt status)
Maintain record of all ticket sales / make refunds when necessary
Maintain Apogaea financial & legal records
Ensure development and Board review of sound financial policies & procedures
Manage responsible investment of surplus carryover funds
Track & manage Apogaea assets if applicable
