How Apo Works
From existing “Apogaea” page:
The Apogaea Organization
Apogaea Inc. is the legal entity that puts on and assumes legal liability for the event.
Officers are appointed by the Board of Directors to oversee Apogaea Inc.
The Board of Directors is a group of nine community members who have the final decision on financial, legal, and all other Apogaea-related policies.
Ignition members are generally year-round volunteers that help plan the event.
The Officers and the Board of Directors are also members of Ignition. All Ignition members are ratified yearly by the BoD and vote on the board members. See the Bylaws for more details.
Ignition members normally serve as department leads and/or in year around roles and key roles at the event.
Sparks are like Ignition members, but are selected by the leads of the department they are under, they are not ratified, are not Apogaea Org members, and do not have voting rights.
Sparks normally serve in junior year around roles, as daily leads and in other roles at the event.
Event Volunteers help run the event and make it go, often under the direction of a particular Ignition member or Spark.
Participants make Apogaea what it is.
