Using Ignition Account
Your Ignition is used to access the Ignition Wiki located here:
If your Ignition account allows email, you may send and receive email here:
http://mail.apogaea.com or install the GMail app on your SmartPhone,
Using the GMail app on your phone is the BEST option, it keeps your @apogaea.com e-mail seperate and the client is much better than the built in email client.
You can communicate with other Ignition members:

Using your Ignition Email:
We HIGHLY recommend checking your Ignition e-mail regularly at http://mail.apogaea.com and recommend AGAINST forwarding it.
We also recommend installing the GMail App on your SmartPhone to get notifications when you have new e-mail and to reply to them while mobile.
If you do not set up your Apogaea mail for IMAP or POP access (which is incredibly easy), you should at least set it to forward mails to another existing email address (also easy) - the settings to do this are accessed in the Settings link in the top right corner when you are looking at your Inbox.
It's important to check your Apogaea mail frequently, as that's the default way you will receive sharing invites from Google Docs & Calendar
Why not to forward you @apogaea.com account to an external account:
Apogaea data is going outside of our management, so if you send & receive e-mails from your personal account and step down the person replacing you can’t get access to them, if needed.
Its best to separate your personal and work e-mail from Apogaea e-mail
Any official Apogaea business via e-mail should be sent to and from an @apogaea.com address.
We have no control over forwarding rule, these are setup by the end users
We have no control over spam filtering or other e-mail issues when forwarding is used.
We can’t track who is using their account if they just use forwarding to then reply, from their personal account, and never login to their @apogaea.com account.
To stop forwarding see this page: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957
If you rarely need to use your @apogaea.com account, or most of the year don't, you might want to forward in this case. So see: How to forward your Ignition email to another email address
While you can do this we do NOT recommend it. We recommend keeping your Apogaea e-mail separate and using http://mail.apogaea.com, GMail App, or an IMAP or POP3 client to send & receive e-mail from your @apogaea.com address.
All official Apogaea correspondences are sent only to @apogaea.com addresses.
General e-mail usage tips:
Don't put it in digital form what you wouldn't want posted in the newspaper
If you really have something sensitive to say pick up the phone or setup a meeting
Always check the TO & CC lines and RARELY use the BCC (great for sending mass one-way emails out)
When adding or removing people to a sensitive thread, use the 1st line of the email to indicate this with a "+<Group\person>" format
So "+Ticketing -Gate" would mean Ticketing was added to the thread and the Gate group was removed
If it's a sensitive topic you could put DO NOT FORWARD or something like that at the top also, but again see #1 & 4
Assume all emails are archived and can be accessed for future reference, there is no guaranteed delete button in the digital world
All of our emails at @apogaea.com are being saved for reference and education of future organization members, so see #1
Don't use your personal e-mail for Apogaea business, if something does come up in the future all of your personal mail may be subject to litigation
This is a big reason why we recommend people do not forward their e-mail to personal account, reply to, or send from their personal accounts
In addition, it best to separate your personal communications from your work or volunteer ones for many other reasons
